Pinch, Punch, First of the month! (Again!).

Hello all.

The title was a saying of a dealer many of us used to know, and it’s still around, when I remember! My post today is to remind, or inform about our next event, this Sunday on October 6th in Bibury Village Hall.

Refreshments served by Angela will include panini as the weather gets cooler, and hot sandwich and soup may just well be ideal!

Here is a photograph of a stand a couple of months ago, and who hopes to return to us in the spring. It shows an example of the variety of items we do get. Hope you like it.

Regards, Andy.

A Fuschia Sale?

Hello all!

Here I’m showing a photo taken a while ago, (the fuschia is the flower in the background),  but oddly enough all the items are still for sale, and thought it about time I showed them off!  Oak, Yew and Silver. I may bring them to Bibury on October 7th, pop in and find out if I do! The stool looks a bit better now as I have been waxing it occasionally!

We are at the Church end of the village, opposite end to The Swan Hotel, and refreshments are served from around noon, by  our friend, including eggs form her own hens!

See you there? Regards, Andy.

A French Connection

Hello again all.

Just a quick catch up after the fair today and I tried to photograph my favourite item I saw today, a difficult challenge as it was made from Lead Crystal. Without proper time allowance, or backdrops, I came up with this photo. This item is available for sale, I can give your number to the dealer if you are interested!

I’d be happy to have this perched on a window as I think it may be a little too good for my current car! Maybe if I had a falconry business I could buy it as a paperweight!

What would you do with it?

Regards, Andy.

Moving in soon!

Hello again!

The weather is getting cooler in the evenings, and the nights are drawing in sooner, the solar lights switching themselves on earlier. So I’m thinking of moving inside more, although tonight the sky is rather good already.

Wonder if I could live in here, this manor house will be for sale at Bibury this Sunday, 2nd September. Pop along and see if it suits maybe it’s a miniature of where you live already?

Maybe see you soon?

Regards, Andy.

Brass Lion Dogs

A little bit of Staffordshire comes to Gloucestershire!

Hello again!

I am pleased to say that we have Lawrence Bunn joining us for our September 2nd Bibury Antiques Fair. Lawrence is a dealer and collector of Staffordshire, and this will be his first fair with us in Bibury.

Here are a  few photographs of some of his stock which he will be bringing with him, there will be more. Pop along and see, he is bringing a rather nice manor house with him too, I’ll add that next week, but if you fancy a new home, they will be one for sale!

Regards, Andy.

“Little Reading” perhaps?

Hello all.

I’m pleased to say that looking into the future, I can see the next fair at Bibury Village Hall is full again!

Pop along on 2nd September to see us, we open at 10am and close at 4pm. Refreshments are available. Stallholders items include Jewellery, Glassware, Brassware, Ceramics, Staffordshire Pottery, Metalware, and Furniture too!

Here is a Gypsy Table which will be there for sale, I’ve just photographed it today. Made in Coldstream, by Robert Bennet, called a Gypsy Table as they were often used by fortune tellers, and travelling folk, as the legs unscrew for easy transportation, and to save space. Now there is an idea!

Regards, Andy.

Tilt Top Table, Plum Pudding? In this heat!

Hello all!

Yes, here I have a mahogany tilt top table for sale, some would call it “Plum Pudding” well, sorry, just to warm to think of those!

So here it is……

Call for viewing, or pop in on Sunday August 5th at Bibury Village Hall where it will be on show.

Thanks, Andy.

All set and in “Tip Top” Condition!

Hello again!

Always busy the week before a fair, and I’m very proud of our Bibury Fair, and so pleased to say again we are full despite some people off on holiday, so I think it’s fair to say we are in “Tip Top” condition!

Some people call, this Plum Pudding Mahogany, but this year I think in August that’s just not right, maybe in November or December, certainly not in this heat! Way too warm for Brandy Butter!

Here is a clue…..
