Hello folks, hope you having a good day. Here I have a walking cane (or stick to most folks!), which I saw a similar one ion the television the other day featuring a well known Belgian detective. Here it is, and if you are worried about the ivory tusks, well I made a replacement from antler, which as you know falls off every year as it falls off naturally, and as such I have often used this over the 30 years I have been restoring furniture! Anyway, here are a few photographs, this cane will be on show this weekend at an antiques fair near Banbury, it’s called ” Antiques at the Holt”. Maybe I’ll see you there?
“Bowled Over!”
Well, Bibury Antiques Fair is having a break until the spring…….. BUT…….. Should people have time over the weekend of 23rd and 24th November, there’s an antiques fair on at The Holt Hotel, Steeple Aston, Oxfordshire. I’m bowled over, and going to be there again! Oh yes, and I’ll have this Sycamore Dairy Bowl with me, and I think it’s got a good colour and patina, but I’ll have to let you decide if you agree! This bowl is about 12″ in diameter, and 3 1/2″ high. Here it is….. The link for the Holt event is http://www.antiques-at-the-holt.co.uk/ Maybe see you there, and if I remember rightly, the steak sandwiches are very nice there too!

Remember Remember The Third of November?
Aha! Not quite a bonfire night title, but it’s close! Our next and final event in Bibury this year is this coming Sunday, November 3rd. See us in The Village Hall, as usual, from 10am until 4pm. Here are three photographs of different stalls from last month, and we’ll find out what people are bringing on Sunday! Have a good day.

All Dressed Up and Nowhere To Go?
Now reserved!
Aha! Well, I have just found an Oak Dresser which needs a little “Chuckling” as a colleague used to say. Well, here it is, around 6′ long, the handles are obviously replacements, but have been on for a long time, so I’ll leave them alone until someone worries about it, (I have old ones from other projects if needed!), all part of the history of the piece! Well, here it is as I got it, and I expect to have it ready for sale in November, yes, that won’t be long! I’ll just revive the polish and enhance it a little then give it a walloping wax and buff. Shout if you are interested. NOW RESERVED! Thanks, Andy.
Fair result for October!
Well, last Sunday was our fair in Bibury and we did reasonably well, the weather was excellent despite the forecast and I believe that helped with some sales figures. Shown here are a few quick photo’s of stock that was exhibited there. If you like anything just ask and I’ll try to trace the dealer to see if they have it still, or why not visit us on our last event of the year in Bibury, on November 3rd. That’s most likely when there will be weekend bonfires, jacket spuds and the first of the sloe gin opened if I remember rightly from an event I went to a couple of years ago, see you soon!

De-lighted to be back soon!
Hello again! I’m pleased to say that we will be back on show in Bibury Village Hall on October 6th. We have a good looking fair lined up and here’s a little item to shed some light on what may be there! Pop in and say hi, there’s a visitors book if you’d like to sign it. This will be our penultimate fair for this year, our last is on November 3rd, and we expect to return to Bibury in the spring of 2020. See you soon. Here’s the candlestand, and a candle I made from some old beeswax foundation. Bye for now.

Our Trilogy begins this Sunday September 1st!
Hello again! Just to say that our last three fairs for this year in Bibury start on September 1st, yes, this Sunday! We are open from 10am to 4pm, and are easily found in one of The Cotswolds most visited small villages. Maybe see you there, here are a few images taken at our last event, hope you like them.

Wedding Ceremony Plaque?
Aha! Here we are again. Well, this was photographed at our last event in Bibury, and we are returning there on September 1st. Won’t be long now!
So, just in case you don’t know, this was taken from a piano. Marshall and Rose were early 20th C piano people. There’s lots of info on the internet about them, so I need not redo it. Just thought if someone called Marshall was marrying Rose wouldn’t it be a great for the table plan!
Here it is…….

Hope it makes you smile. Maybe see you soon, perhaps in September, or October, or our final month for this year in Bibury, November!
All the best, Andy
All “Ship-Shape” for Bibury on Sunday.
Hello again!
We return to Bibury this Sunday, August 4th, from 10am untill 4pm. Easily found in Bibury, as it’s not a big place, but steer oneself towards the river, and we are at the opposite end of the village from The Trout Farm!
As ever, I rarely know what the dealers will bring, and I found this photo of an item which may well help steer you towards us! Have a good day! Regards, Andy.

Sunshine by the river!
We’re back on Sunday!
Amongst the dealers, there will be jewellery, glass, mirrors, pictures, rugs, and some furniture. Here’s something that should be for sale at Bibury, please ask for a viewing. As ever there’s great food available in the local pub and hotel, and places to wander and find ice creams!
A painted pine chest of drawers. The sizes of the height and width are the same, being 37″ or 94cm. The depth is 17 1/2″, or 44.5cm. Having just been photographed here after being waxed, the remedial scuffing of a paint finish has been left alone, after all someone may want to have them re-painted! Can deliver if required, call for viewing on 07977 936 882 or email me on echoantiquesrestoration@gmail.com thanks, Andy.
