Stock pricing, and honey cake!

Hello again! It really does seem odd, as so far this year there hasn’t been one of events in Bibury yet, and despite discussing the possibilities, we haven’t a date yet. So, tonight, I decided to photograph a set of glasses for sale, and as I was doing so, thought it rude not to try one of them out, and here I have a small piece of honey-cake to compliment the dram. This isn’t how many Monday evenings are at all! May I wish everyone a good day, or evening, wherever you are, and I am off to list these on our virtual fair, they can be seen at https://www.antiques.co.uk/antique/6-Ale-Glasses Thank you for looking. Andy.

Half Way For Virtual Fair!

Hello all! Well, amazingly we are half way through our May Virtual Fair! With help from antiques.co.uk we have had over 40 items listed for sale for just over 2 weeks, and now a few items have been viewed over 100 times. I think that’s more than most items get viewed at an event, and here’s the one which at the rime of writing, is the most viewed, at 106. https://www.antiques.co.uk/antique/Gilt-and-Laquered-Wooden-Monk other items are close behind at 104 and 103. Have a look and see if you fancy anything. There’s a payment option on the site, or please make an enquiry. Sadly not everyone from the fair can take part in this as they cannot access their stock from closed shops and centres, but we have a good cross section of items listed.Have a good day folks, and here are a few photo’s of the event last year. It really is a sweet Village Hall and I look forward to returning one day. Regards, Andy.

Our Virtual Fair is Open Now, and tomorrow, and ……..

Hello all! I have some amazing news. Bibury Antiques Fair may only be a small event, however we believe we are the first Antiques Fair to have a “Virtual Fair”. Yes! With the help of Iain Brunt, and his website, we have our listing at https://www.antiques.co.uk/seller-items.cfm?maxrows=25&seller=4448&order=priceDESC&start=2 have a look and see what you find! This will be live for longer than our usual time, of just one Sunday a month, but we are entering exciting times, and so if you like it, we hope to be able to continue, so please have a puruse and possibly even a purchase! Shown here just to make you hurry, is “A Russian Bangle”. Hope you like it, and thanks for looking. Regards, Andy.

A little background work, and a surprise to come!

Hello again! I realise it’s been a while since I was in touch, but there have been a few things going on in the background, and one of them is this Rosewood Bookcase which I am restoring ready for sale this summer, offer a price if you want to buy it, sadly the marble top is missing, but a wooden one could go on-top, not everyone likes marble! Hope you like the photographs, and yes, there’s still a bit to be done, but it’s a lot better than when I got it! There’s also something else which I hope some of you may well be interested in, and more about that on Friday I hope! Pop back to find out, but in the meantime, here’s the bookcase. All the best, Andy.

Home revision!

Today, April 5th 2020, would have been the first of our fairs at Bibury Village Hall, one day maybe this year we will return? In the meantime, many folk are re-assessing their lives, work, hobbies, and in some cases, looking at what they have! It’s over 30 years ago that I started buying a few reference books to learn about furniture, clocks, and as I like glass, then that too. Here is a little area of my study as it is now, with some of those items, as well as bits and bobs picked up on the way, from friends, all having sentimental value. One day when we return, people will be able to add to their collections, and the items gained will help the times be remembered. Bye for now, Andy.

A little study shelf!

Happy New Year and Decade Folks!

Hello, and best wishes to one and all! As we hit the new year and decade, here are a few photographs of a current project I am working on, and the date being set correctly, one can almost hear the bell strike! Our event in Bibury starts in April, if you wish to send me your email, I will keep you in touch about our fairs and maybe others too. Should anyone enjoy a whisky for the season, I may well join you later, and toast you, Slainte Mhath! See you soon. Regards, Andy.

Remember Remember The Third of November?

Aha! Not quite a bonfire night title, but it’s close! Our next and final event in Bibury this year is this coming Sunday, November 3rd. See us in The Village Hall, as usual, from 10am until 4pm. Here are three photographs of different stalls from last month, and we’ll find out what people are bringing on Sunday! Have a good day.

Fair result for October!

Well, last Sunday was our fair in Bibury and we did reasonably well, the weather was excellent despite the forecast and I believe that helped with some sales figures. Shown here are a few quick photo’s of stock that was exhibited there. If you like anything just ask and I’ll try to trace the dealer to see if they have it still, or why not visit us on our last event of the year in Bibury, on November 3rd. That’s most likely when there will be weekend bonfires, jacket spuds and the first of the sloe gin opened if I remember rightly from an event I went to a couple of years ago, see you soon!
