A hand please?!

Hello all!

Just to say that Bibury Antiques Fair is this Sunday, May 6th.

We are full and will  have a fabulous display for all to see.

If anyone can offer a helping hand to the buyer of this please feel free, it’s heavy and for sale this Sunday, first day out too! Georgian Bureau with a fabulous interior and excellent presence to it, just stands so proud and solid. Looks great but also very useful, many offices would be improved by something like this, here it is just been loaded into the car!

Regards, Andy.

What’s next?

Hello again!

This coming Sunday there are two new stallholders with us and I rarely know what people will bring, but I do know that after an hour or so of setting up, Bibury Village Hall becomes a place of people displaying their stalls, chatting, drinking tea and coffee and seeing what everyone has brought.

Why not call in during the day to see what we have on offer. I can say that there will be some great cakes, teas and coffee and sandwiches available from noon, so for all those people whom have had great suppers on Saturday, we are an ideal place for a break and a munch! Cyclists and walkers have bought cake to take away before too! Just a thought.

Here’s a fish that may be able to be taken home, and used, not eaten!

Have a good day, Andy.

Friends return!

Hello folks!

Well, here we are again! Doesn’t that sound familiar? Just to let you know that John and Andrew are back with us again after a little break, so why not call in and see what new stock they have, along with our regular dealers.

We open at 10am on Sunday 3rd September, and close at around 4pm. Refreshments are served from around noon, and include sandwiches, tea, coffee and cakes! Hurry, or I’ll get there first!

Here is a photo of John’s stall a few months ago, when he was last with us.

Regards, Andy.

What a gem!

Hello again!

Well, some time has gone by since our last Bibury Antiques Fair, our next one being on September 3rd.

The fair is already looking like it should be a busy one, judging by the amount of stalls already booked!

Should you be nearby and fancy a look into one of “Englands Vintage Village Halls”, this really is a gem, and here are a few items of jewellery which were photographed in August, and similar items may well be displayed in September.

Hope to see you soon. Regards, Andy.

Bright Idea?

Hello all!

Several years ago a brass wall sconce was bought, and has sat at home near the fire ever since. Last weekend, I made a few candles from scraps of beekeeping beeswax foundation, and here they are, sitting alight. Fun! Hope you like it, the room smells of the wax now, and I will make more!

Should you wish to join us this Sunday at Bibury Antiques Fair, please do, but I can’t promise good weather, but there will be tea, coffee, cakes etc served for you from around noon, if dry, outside in the sun! More substantial meals can be bought locally, at the tea room, pub, or hotel.

Thanks, Andy.

Return the Marbles to Bibury!

Well, not a secret hoard of ancient ruins, but with some summer weather, maybe playing marbles in the sun could be a pleasant pastime! These were spotted at the last event, so they may still be available.

Pop along on Sunday to find out, could be the addition of a world championship event in the offing, no, not for me to organise, but I’d probably come and watch.

Have a good evening.

Regards, Andy
