Amongst the dealers, there will be jewellery, glass, mirrors, pictures, rugs, and some furniture. Here’s something that should be for sale at Bibury, please ask for a viewing. As ever there’s great food available in the local pub and hotel, and places to wander and find ice creams!
A painted pine chest of drawers. The sizes of the height and width are the same, being 37″ or 94cm. The depth is 17 1/2″, or 44.5cm. Having just been photographed here after being waxed, the remedial scuffing of a paint finish has been left alone, after all someone may want to have them re-painted! Can deliver if required, call for viewing on 07977 936 882 or email me on email@example.com thanks, Andy.
We’re all getting ready for our first fair of the year in Bibury Village Hall, we will be there on the 7th April 2019! Opening at 10am, and closing at 4pm.
I’m not telling what’s going to be on show by the dealers, but here are a couple of pieces of mine at a bi-annual fair at Hopcrofts Holt Hotel, near Banbury closed down last weekend. The top hat has gone to feature in a local play abut Dr. Doolittle, and indeed I was surprised to see a “push-me-pull-you” in someones kitchen today!
All the best, Andy!
Sorry, there’s a sticking handle which really annoys me, but in haste I missed seeing it through the lense, now sorted and I can sleep again!
Just thought I’d slip a quick post in today, and remind people that the Bibury Antiques Fair returns on April 7th 2019.
I’m looking forward to getting back to the Village Hall and having an enjoyable day with people, and to get a few more places into the visitors book.
Meanwhile if anyone wants to learn about Gillows Furniture from Lancaster, my home City, then here is a set of good modern reference books, which are for sale shout if you are interested, as they are a keen price and these are for sale, at around half their official listing price!
Have a good weekend, won’t be long and I hope the sledge runners get polished if anyone happens to be near snow and have a sledge!
Here I’m showing a photo taken a while ago, (the fuschia is the flower in the background), but oddly enough all the items are still for sale, and thought it about time I showed them off! Oak, Yew and Silver. I may bring them to Bibury on October 7th, pop in and find out if I do! The stool looks a bit better now as I have been waxing it occasionally!
We are at the Church end of the village, opposite end to The Swan Hotel, and refreshments are served from around noon, by our friend, including eggs form her own hens!
Hello! Here is a photograph of the river and The Swan Hotel in Bibury, and behind me the river runs next to the road and goes past The Village Hall, where Bibury Antiques Fair will be on show on Sunday April 1st! Please call in and peruse the lovely show we will have. Maybe a late Easter present for a friend could be found? There will be several Classic Cars on their way for coffee just down the road too, follow one and see where it goes! Happy motoring!
Hello, I have just found a photograph of a stall from last April, and here it is.
Occasionally over the years, despite running many fairs, I still occasionally have time to be a stallholder at others. This weekend I can be seen with some furniture, tables, chairs, longcase clock, rugs, firescreens, drinking glasses and a fewer small items too.
Pop along if you have time, we are open all weekend, easy to find at the crossroads at The Holt Hotel, Steeple Aston, Oxfordshire, OX25 5QQ Maybe see you there? These are coming too!
