Hello folks.
Well, I know that one Swallow doesn’t make a summer, but they are here! Pretty well around their usual time, and as ever, I get to see one and then a few, then they just go quiet for a few days or so, then more join the advance party.
So, I next start waiting, stretching my ears to hear a call, yes Cuckoo!
Here is a treen Cuckoo call I was given from a stallholder years ago, I have cleaned it and waxed it, mostly it sits in a bookcase, but I do use it, and yes it almost always gets a reply!
Don’t tend to use it much as I was told that by using them, it gets a reply as another male is defending territory, and if I persist, will go away, and despite their parasitic breeding habits, I do like to hear them.
Here it is, hope you like it.
Andy.

Morning Folks!
Well, our second event this year in Bibury, and I think it went well, we will be back on May 7th.
Despite the many distractions that were around on the day, other events near and far, we put on a great show and had many very welcome complimentary comments.
Here is a picture of The Flying Scotsman, I featured this as last week saw this train steaming along the Carlisle Settle line after recently being reopened after over a year of repairs to the line.
Have a good month and hope to see you soon!
Regards, Andy.

Ah well, that’s nearly it for the night! Just a few minor bits and bobs to get sorted for Bibury Antiques Fair, starts in around twelve hours from now! Yes 10am Sunday April 2nd!
Here is a clock that should be ticking away nicely when you come to visit us!
Good looking case, and nice tick and great sounding bell, that’s nice not too loud!
So, pop in and see! Yes, we have 2 new stallholders, and there is quite a bit for sale in that hall once we get sorted!
Regards, Andy.

Wow! There’s a word I don’t use much!
But I took this photograph of a corner stand at Bibury (was the December fair!) and thought that it should be shared as I think it looks good!
Why not pop along this Sunday to see what we have on offer, as there should be 2 new dealers with us!
I’ll be there, as ever, with a few of my bits and bobs too, including an oak longcase clock if I can fit it in the car!
Whatever you do, have a good weekend, and don’t forget “The Boat Race!”
Regards, Andy.

Having had a busy couple of weeks getting bots and bobs ready for sale, I remembered this sweet little tea caddy. Burr Yew! Here it is! Hope you like it.
Well, maybe a little late for some people, but now it’s time for a pot of tea!
So, pop along to Bibury Antiques Fair on Sunday April 2nd and see what we have for sale.
Regards, Andy.

Hi Folks!
April 2nd, yes this coming Sunday, sees us returning to Bibury Village Hall where Matt will be on show with a couple of post boxes, as well as other items too.
Dealers will be there selling glassware, jewellery, mirrors, treen, candlesticks, and all sorts of treasures to be enjoyed, and kept as a momento of the day or weekend!
Hope you can join us on your travels through Gloucestershire.
Open 10am to 4pm, easily found, we are a nice walk away from The Swan Hotel, The Catherine Wheel Inn, William Morris Tea Room, The Trout Farm, where lunches, nibbles and drinks can all be enjoyed.
Look forward to seeing you there!
Regards, Andy.

Hello Folks!
Whilst driving towards Bibury early this evening, I came across a field of lovely cattle, and several calves. Stopping to watch them, they came over to see what I was doing just over the wall from their field.
Hope you like and if driving into Bibury from Burford, keep an eye out on the left hand side, and they may well greet you too!
Have a good week, and should you be passing close to Bibury on Sunday April 2nd, pop into The Village Hall to see what we have on offer for sale, we may only be in a small hall, but it’s a lovely place and we have some great stock!
Here is someone that can’t join in at The Hall!
Regards, Andy.

Aha! Bibury Antiques Fair returns on April 2nd! Yes, the day after April Fools Day!
Whilst one of our regular dealers cannot be with us, we will be joined by a new dealer, so hope you can join us to find out who she is!
Here is a little snap of part of one dealers stock last month, and I shall be showing more over the next few days! Hope to see you soon!
Regards, Andy.

Hello all!
Thanks to all the dealers, visitors and customers that made our first fair of the year in Bibury a very pleasant event. Reports of dealers selling, and bags being seen leaving, were obvious. We seemed to be steady for most of the day, not a heaving busy fair, but the majority of visitors left with a momento of the day!
This was what I came home with, and I’m really looking forward to using it, a small saw with a home made guard, after a clean up, I think this will do many small jobs repairing and making drawers and the like.
Why not pop along next month, April 2nd, and see what you can go home with?
Oh yes, and I can recommend the pizza at The Catherine Wheel!
Regards, Andy.
