Hello again! Just to say that our last three fairs for this year in Bibury start on September 1st, yes, this Sunday! We are open from 10am to 4pm, and are easily found in one of The Cotswolds most visited small villages. Maybe see you there, here are a few images taken at our last event, hope you like them.
Aha! Here we are again. Well, this was photographed at our last event in Bibury, and we are returning there on September 1st. Won’t be long now!
So, just in case you don’t know, this was taken from a piano. Marshall and Rose were early 20th C piano people. There’s lots of info on the internet about them, so I need not redo it. Just thought if someone called Marshall was marrying Rose wouldn’t it be a great for the table plan!

Hello again, and on this weekend when fathers, grandfathers, sons and daughters are celebrating “Father’s Day” I thought there would be a lot of people in need of a rest! There’s also many folk who are having their first “Father’s Day” without their father being there, and I hope they can remember them well.
As a bit of fun, I have shown here a brass Windsor chair, and although a miniature, would be really comfortable if it was a full size one. Just shows we never know what can be found around the corner.
This has just come to me and I know it will be with me for a very long time as it’s small enough to keep and enjoy. Additionally, it has a makers label underneath and a date, 11.12.81 I have not decided yet whether it’s 1981, or 1881, but I’m pretty sure it’s the first. The label says No 56, but I wonder how many were made.

Hello all!
What a difference a year makes indeed. This photo was taken around a year ago, just as some areas of the locality were cold and windy with a little snow, just a few hundred yards further on the snow had drifted quite deep, causing a few areas of chaos! As a result we cancelled our 2018 March event, and were hesitant about it this year too!
We return to Bibury with renewed vigour, on April 7th 2019. See you there?

On display soon will be this Elm and Oak Corner Cabinet.
The item undergoing a little restoration, basically tidying up, and replacing the modern plywood bottom, with old timber from an Elm Coffer, of about the same period.

Here it is as I got it, and now there has been some work on it. I may show those improved photo’s over the weekend. Please ask should you wish to see this item, as it is rather nice, and although had a replacement base, is mostly original. The interior paint shows that it was a piece used for display with the doors open as well as closed. This seems to have been protected by someone applying fabric to the interior, rather than re-painting, excellent!
