Hello all! Just a little review here to show what our August Antiques Fair looked like. I have shown a few of the stands, not all of them but maybe this will encourage a visit? We return to Bibury on the 1st of September maybe see you then? Regards, Andy

Flaming June!

Our Bibury Antiques Fair has it’s next showing for this year in just under a week from now, on Sunday June 2nd! We open, as ever at 10am and close about 4pm, as we often have a few visitors around ten past 4, as visitors walk past on their way to their cars to go home. So, last minute deals can be struck, and taken away. Here’s a few photographs of our April event for you to see. There’s only 4 chairs left now, so shout if you want them! The Hall really does look good now it has had a tidy up, the fresh paint and the clean floor make the place quite light and refreshing. Hope that you like them. For those who are wondering, “Flaming June!” was an old saying to refer to the heat of the month, I’m not sure that still stands these days, but maybe we will soon find out! Regards, Andy.

Sweet Valentine

Happy Valentine’s Day Folks!

Some of you may not know that St. Valentine is one of Beekeepings patron Saints, there are several!

St. Ambrose, St. Benedict, St. Gregory, St. Bartolomew, St. Gobnait, St. Kharlamii, St. Dominic also called St. Modomnoc,  and St Valentine. There are undoubtably others!

So whilst the bees around the country are stirring, responding signs that the weather is getting warmer, the days longer, so too are some of our dealers for Bibury Antiques Fair getting ready for our first event of the year on April 7th. See you there perhaps? Other antiques fairs are available, more news soon!

Moving in soon!

Hello again!

The weather is getting cooler in the evenings, and the nights are drawing in sooner, the solar lights switching themselves on earlier. So I’m thinking of moving inside more, although tonight the sky is rather good already.

Wonder if I could live in here, this manor house will be for sale at Bibury this Sunday, 2nd September. Pop along and see if it suits maybe it’s a miniature of where you live already?

Maybe see you soon?

Regards, Andy.

As the song doesn’t go!…….

Summer Knees, drifting away, blowing in the sunset of my mind!

Well, no sunset here to watch the eclipse, too cloudy, so that has been blown away!

Meanwhile, here are some knees which will be for sale with the rest of the table on Sunday August 5th! Pop in and say hi, we will be on show from 10am till 4pm at Bibury Village Hall.

May see you then! In the meantime, have a good day!

A hand please?!

Hello all!

Just to say that Bibury Antiques Fair is this Sunday, May 6th.

We are full and will  have a fabulous display for all to see.

If anyone can offer a helping hand to the buyer of this please feel free, it’s heavy and for sale this Sunday, first day out too! Georgian Bureau with a fabulous interior and excellent presence to it, just stands so proud and solid. Looks great but also very useful, many offices would be improved by something like this, here it is just been loaded into the car!

A “Little Saw”after the fair!

Hello all!

Thanks to all the dealers, visitors and customers that made our first fair of the year in Bibury a very pleasant event. Reports of dealers selling, and bags being seen leaving, were obvious. We seemed to be steady for most of the day, not a heaving busy fair, but the majority of visitors left with a momento of the day!

This was what I came home with, and I’m really looking forward to using it, a small saw with a home made guard, after a clean up, I think this will do many small jobs repairing and making drawers and the like.

Why not pop along next month, April 2nd, and see what you can go home with?

Oh yes, and I can recommend the pizza at The Catherine Wheel!

Regards, Andy.
